Many of our friends know us a Spirit Wing, the contemporary Native American musical group that plays during dancer’s breaks at Powwows and at festivals such as: Bethlehem Musik Fest, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Cultural Survival, etc.
Though most know us as a four piece band, with Chris Hawley (bass) and Doug Penglase (percussion) we now travel mostly as a duo.
Barbara Andrews-Christy plays Native American Flute and does vocals and I (Barry Lee) plays guitar and also sings.
Our music draws from a the traditional music and contemporary styles. We have been nominated for a Native American Music Award seven times.
